Examination Bodies

Our Key Stage 4 (GCSE/International GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A level) students follow programmes of study and take final examinations set by Pearson Edexcel, AQA and Oxford International AQA Examinations awarding bodies.

Admissions Process

To apply to The English College, one of the best English curriculum schools in Dubai, just follow our easy application process by completing the below steps. We do sometimes have oversubscribed year groups, in which case we will suggest to parents to join our waiting list until a place becomes available for your children. Our Admissions Team will be with you every step of the way, from your initial enquiry through to your children’s first day at school. We also invite you to book a personalised tour of our campus. If you are located outside of Dubai or are overseas, we are happy to schedule a telephone or Zoom video call with you.

Step 1: Complete the Online Application Form

The Online Application Form can be accessed through our secure admissions portal ‘Open Apply’. Register your details to set up an account, through which you can make an enquiry, book a tour, apply and follow the full application process digitally.

Please keep a Passport photograph of your child (JPG or PNG format) handy as you will need to upload it. Please note that an application form needs to be completed for each child. You can avail of our Sibling Discount, whereby a family with three or more siblings in school will receive a 10% discount on tuition fees for the youngest sibling. This will also apply to a fourth child in school.

Step 2: Complete the Checklist

While completing the Online Application Form, you will register with our secure Online Parent Portal ‘Open Apply’. You will get access to a Dashboard and can follow the full Application Process digitally.
Please have the following documents ready for uploading:

1) A copy of your child’s (applicant) Passport.

2) A copy of your child’s (applicant) Residence Visa. Please note that as per Dubai’s The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) regulations, the residence visa copy and Emirates ID copy must be submitted within 30 days of arriving in Dubai. Children on a visit visa cannot be permitted to school. Your child’s residence visa must be in process.

3) A copy of your child’s (applicant) Emirates ID (front and back). Please note that as per Dubai’s The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) regulations, the residence visa copy and Emirates ID copy must be submitted within 30 days of arriving in Dubai.

4) A copy of the father’s Emirates ID (front & back). Please note that as per Dubai’s The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) regulations, the residence visa copy and Emirates ID copy must be submitted within 30 days of arriving in Dubai. This can be extended to 45 days but not beyond.

5) A copy of the mother’s Emirates ID (front & back). Please note that as per Dubai’s The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) regulations, the residence visa copy and Emirates ID copy must be submitted within 30 days of arriving in Dubai. This can be extended to 45 days but not beyond.

6) A copy of your child’s most recent Full School Report. Applicable from Year 1 onwards. This needs to include all subjects including Tutor comments, plus GCSE / AS / BTEC grades as applicable.
