Supervised Care
The British School of Amsterdam works in partnership with after school care provider Majest Global to provide reliable, good quality after school care for children. Majest Global provides after school care exclusively to British School children between the ages 4 to 12 years on the Early Years school site in Anthonie van Dijckstraat. The facility is open every day after school 3.10 – 6.30pm and during school holidays 8am to 6.30pm. Children are collected from each school location at the end of the day by Majest staff and are bought to the Early Years School, Anthonie van Dijckstraat. Arrangements can also be made for children to be collected at the end of their extra-curricular activity. In September 2020, Majest Global will move with The British School to its new site at The Havenstraat. Majest Global's provides a homely environment for the children, bridging the time between school and family life that matches the children's habits at the British School of Amsterdam. Experienced leaders offer a wide range of activities, from cooking to playing sports, from music to group activities. The children are free to decide if they wish to participate, they may sometimes prefer some quiet time and want to read a book, listen to music or do some homework. Children are given the space to do choose. Day trips are organised during school holidays. Children are provided with fruit, crackers and other healthy snacks each day. Parents can also opt for their children to be served a warm meal provided by an external catering company. The catering company is also able to provide a full dinner for the whole family on request.
