Description

In 2011, Yodphet Sudsawad (Khun Tik) began with an idea of how to change the way we think about schools. Her goal was clear: to create a sustainable school where children’s lives could be transformed by a unique, values-based approach to education. Over the years, this vision has blossomed into a vibrant, nurturing community where students from around the world are supported in developing their best selves.

At Panyaden International School, we believe success in life is about more than just academic achievement. It’s about developing the mind and the body, and a sense of responsibility to the world. Our challenging curriculum combines academic excellence with values drawn from the Buddhist path to wisdom and happiness. We are dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment where all children feel secure, respected, and valued.

Learning here is a dynamic process that nurtures the whole child through a values-based educational approach grounded in Buddhist principles.

The Panyaden Learning Principles integrate moral and emotional growth into every aspect of school life. This approach balances academic excellence with character development, ensuring that students are prepared not only for their future careers but also for a fulfilling and joyful life. These values shape how students think, interact with one another, and approach challenges, creating a supportive atmosphere where personal growth is embraced just as much as academic achievement.

Curricula

Our educational framework is built on the British standards delivered through integrated units of inquiry that create meaningful and transformative learning experiences.

Early Years Nursery to Kindergarten 2
Age Range: 2-4+ Years

Our curriculum thoughtfully combines the comprehensive UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with key aspects of the Thai national curriculum. In our vibrant English and Thai setting, your child will grow under the guidance of our qualified international and Thai teachers, who work together with a dedicated teaching assistant to facilitate engaging learning. This creates an exciting, culturally rich educational journey that cultivates a love of learning and prepares your child for their Primary years and beyond.

Primary Years (Years 1–6)
Age Range 5–11 Years

Our curriculum draws from internationally recognised standards, including the English National Curriculum for English, Maths, History, Geography, Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE), Design Technology, Life Skills, Art, Performing Arts, and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for Science. These frameworks provide a solid foundation in subject-specific knowledge and skills, while our bespoke themes ensure that learning is always connected to big ideas and real-world relevance.

Each unit of inquiry integrates Literacy, Maths, History, Geography, Science, PSHE, Buddhist Education, and specialist subjects including Thai, Art, Music, PE, Drama, Life Skills, and Library. This encourages students to think holistically, make meaningful connections, and apply their understanding in flexible and creative ways. At this age, education is more than the acquisition of knowledge, it is a journey of purposeful growth.

Our Programme of Learning is designed to nurture academic excellence, emotional intelligence, spiritual awareness, and ethical understanding. Each year level is guided by a set of bespoke themes that serve as a unifying framework from Year 1 to Year 6. These themes reflect our belief in the power of integrated learning to foster both intellectual and inner development. Children engage with each theme through age-appropriate, concept-based, interdisciplinary units of inquiry that spiral across the years, building depth, perspective, and purposeful learning.

Middle School (Years 7–9)
Age Range 11+ Years

We use the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC), a concept-based, student-centred framework that bridges Primary and High School. Students engage in hands-on learning across Mathematics, Sciences, Language Arts, Social Studies, World Languages, Arts, Technology, Life Skills, and Physical Education. This approach fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and intercultural awareness, key skills for success in our Pre-IB and IB Diploma programmes.

Our Middle School serves students aged 11–14 during the key transition from childhood to adolescence. Rooted in Buddhist principles and the latest educational research, the programme provides a nurturing environment that encourages creative exploration, independence, and responsibility toward community and the environment.

Pre-IB Programme (Years 10–11)
Age Range 14+ Years

For students aged 14–16, the Pre-IB Programme prepares learners for the academic and personal demands of the IB Diploma. Students develop inquiry, critical thinking, and research skills through a broad curriculum that includes core academics, Visual Arts, Music, Film, Theatre, Buddhist Education, and Health.

Teachers use collaborative, creative methods that encourage students to ask questions and take ownership of their learning. Students also participate in service trips, outdoor expeditions, local fieldwork, and work toward the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.

IB Diploma Programme (Years 12–13)
Age Range 16+ Years

The IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a rigorous, globally recognised curriculum for students aged 16–19. Studying the IBDP at Panyaden means students are engaging in a globally respected, academically rigorous curriculum with the support of skilled, compassionate educators. Panyaden’s core values are closely aligned and consistent with the IB mission of developing an “active, compassionate, lifelong learner”.
