Religion at School
Massanutten Military Academy honors and retains it's traditional foundation of Christian principles which have been in existence since it's founding in 1899 by the Reformed Church in Virginia. The current spiritual development model at MMA is designed to meet the needs of all cadets under our care regardless of the faith tradition and background of the students. For all individuals to be a well rounded and successful person in society, spiritual maturity and well being are essential. Spirituality is intrinsically connected to characteristics such as virtue, morality and ethics. We believe it is the duty, responsibility and honor, of all of the faculty and staff to assist with the spiritual development of the individuals under our care. Some key components of spiritual life at Massanutten Military Academy are having an ordained chaplain on campus and several other ordained individuals who serve local churches, relational ministry, and Bible studies. If you would like to research the church options in our area, please review the area church list. We will make every effort to assist you in ensuring your child attends the church of your choosing.
