Tuition

A once off Application Fee of R725.00 is payable for applications to Grades 0000 to A Levels. 2. In addition to the above Application Fee for Grade 1 there is an additional fee of R1 200.00 for the School Readiness Assessment (depending on the assessor used it can be claimed back from certain medical aids). 3. Registration fee is a once off fee of R3 500.00, payable on registration and is non-refundable. There is no discount on Registration Fees. 4. School fees are payable by the 7th of each month. 5. For registering 3 (or more) children: 10% discount on the amount payable for the third child onwards. 6. Should one or more of the children be granted a scholarship, the above mentioned 10% discount will not apply. Discount on full payment (in advance) of Annual School Fee: Before 31 October 2019, 6% discount Before 30 November 2019, 5% discount Before 31 December 2019, 4% discount On or before 1st day of school 2020, 2% discount Discount will not apply where the child has been granted a scholarship. 8. Full Time Alma Mater High and Primary School students do not pay for extra lessons organised and taught by Alma Mater staff. 9. Excluded from school fees are transport, stationery, study guides, school uniforms, text- and exercise books, camps, excursions, tours, School Magazine, Matric Farewell and Valentines Ball. 10. Exam fees are only for Grades 7, 10 and 12. Exam fees are subject to prevailing exchange rate (GBP £) at time of payment and no discount is applicable on exam fees. 11. Reprinting of School Reports: R200.00 per report. The enrolment fee is payable on registration and non-refundable. There is no discount on Registration Fees. 2. Weekly boarding will allow a student to board for up to four nights a week (Monday to Thursday only). 3. Weekly boarders will be allowed only two weekend stays per term. Prior arrangements need to be made with the House Parents. The fee per weekend stay in is R275.00 per night. 4. Boarding fees include overnight accommodation, meals, linen and laundry services for agreed nights. 5. Boarding fees do not include normal curriculum tuition, co-curricular activities and extra academic assistance. 6. Holiday School and Easter Holiday fees are not included in the termly or weekly boarding fees. Additional Expenses 1. Voluntary activities are organised by various members of staff and charges are made per the activity e.g. concerts, theatre trips and outdoor expeditions. 2. Unavoidable Expenses (Items such as those listed below are invoiced on the termly invoice): Examination fees; Additional trips and visits; Stationery; magazine subscriptions and lost textbooks. 3. The insurance policies of Alma Mater do not cover the loss of students’ belongings.


Scholarships

Scholarships available to ages 13 to 18 years entering Lower Secondary, Secondary and Sixth Form stages. The scholarships are partial and deducted from the annual tuition fee only.


Curricula

Students can complete a research, internship and their international project qualification in their final years of school. Duke of Edinburgh awards can be obtained from 14 years old.


Admissions Information

Admissions Process

Please note that this application will only be processed once the following has been completed: - The applicant must meet the minimum entrance requirements - Entrance assessment might be required. To be booked with our Admissions Office. - Applicant must have an acceptance letter from Alma Mater International School before enrollment will be processed. - School transfer card - must be submitted before the first day of school (applicable from Year 2 to Year 13). - Final school results from current/previous school must be submitted before the first day of school. -No student will be admitted without completed registration.
