Use of technology in the classroom
Our learning spaces are fully We-Fi enabled, giving students access to a wide range of technology to support and enhance their learning. The Wi-Fi network also extends to selected outdoor areas, allowing students to continue their learning beyond the classroom walls. By integrating technology throughout our approach, we ensure a seamless transition between learning at school and at home.
Across the Lower School we have a 1:1 iPad programme for our students. The iPads are equipped with age-appropriate apps through the different grades.
For the majority of work undertaken in Grade 6 to Grade 8, students will use an iPad, which we as a school will provide. Students are able to take their iPad home, to allow seamless learning between school and home.
For students who join us in Grade 9 - Grade 12, we have our Student Technology Programme.
Learning Support
We welcome students who need services for English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Special Educational Needs (SEND). Students are challenged and supported in inclusive classrooms and specialist teaching environments so that they can equitably access the curriculum. English Language Support is available for all ages, with proficiency requirements from Grade 8. For older students, EAL courses are offered. ACS serves students with mild to moderate learning needs at all Grade levels, both subject to admission requirements and available spaces. We are not able to support students with severe behavioural, emotional, or learning difficulties, or older students with very limited English.

Pastoral Care
In 2025, we implemented our ACS Egham Community Commitments and Restorative Practice. These initiatives reflect our shared vision to build a stronger, more connected school community where every student feels a sense of belonging, is supported in their learning, and is empowered to thrive.
The Egham Community Commitments emerged from a yearlong, student-driven project focused on improving behavior for learning and fostering a more inclusive and respectful school environment. We are deeply proud of our students for leading this important work, and of our entire community for embracing these commitments so wholeheartedly.
A key component of bringing the Commitments to life has been the implementation of Restorative Practice, which began in March 2025 and will continue over the next three years. We had a Restorative Practice expert came to our campus in March 2025 and she engaged with faculty, parents and 30 students leaders from Grade 4-11. Since her visit, Restorative Circles have been introduced in classrooms throughout the school, strengthening relationships, supporting wellbeing, and building trust across our learning community. These regular practices are already having a visible and positive impact on classroom culture and student engagement.
