Here at 3e our mission is to ‘Foster creative thinkers and collaborative learners, who are able to move respectfully and appreciatively across cultures.’ We do this by providing a rich and supportive learning environment where children explore materials, ideas and surroundings as they uncover the joy of learning. Here they are guided to experiment with objects and manipulate language and concepts as they test their own theories about the world. Children are also encouraged, through language, art and creativity to express their ideas and understandings in a collaborative and supported learning environment.
3e offers a child-centred approach to teaching, learning and development through a researched based bi-lingual immersion model. Here the languages of Chinese and English are both respected and supported equally. We want our children to be fluid thinkers, able to express themselves in both languages, enriched with Chinese and global cultural understandings.
Based on 2 campuses with Early Years in Lido and Elementary in Laiguangying, 3e is in a city teeming with heritage, culture and creativity. Beijing has much to offer and we recognise the role the local, natural and built environment plays in our children’s learning. At 3e we also know and acknowledge that a child learns best when parents, school and community come together with a shared understanding and clear expectations.
For those students in the Early Years, we appreciate that this may be a child’s first foray into school life. We believe this experience should be safe and secure, offering excitement, fun and encouragement as children grow and develop into thinkers, learners and doers. Our Lido campus is specifically designed with younger children in mind, with lush dynamic outdoor spaces and colourful resource-rich classrooms.
In Elementary, our program centres on collaboration and communication, where children engage with the learning in a shared environment filled with opportunity. They are encouraged to pursue personal goals and are challenged to discover and develop their talents not only for themselves, but also in the service of others. In our Elementary campus we have on hand a rich array of spaces, outdoor areas and creative and performance domains, where children can explore, experiment and express.

Description
3e International School began in 2005 and has grown into an institution of 200+ students from over 20 nationalities, spanning two innovative campuses – Nursery to Kindergarten at the main Lido campus, and Elementary (Grade 1 to Grade 6) at the Laiguangying campus, a campus share with the French International School.
At 3e International School we take a visionary approach to dual immersion bilingual education. Our half day English – half day Chinese program provides students with a research based bilingual curriculum, aiming to develop “creative thinkers and collaborative learners who are able to move respectfully and appreciatively across cultures”.
Our goal is to empower children to explore, experiment and express themselves in a nurturing school environment that is balanced appropriately between child-initiated and teacher-directed experiences. Social competence and an appreciation of other cultures are also important components of our curriculum and instruction.
3e is a non-profit organization that is funded through the sponsorship of the Sunwah Foundation and student tuition. All proceeds are invested back into the school in order to continually strengthen our high-quality program and facilities.
