Marymount International School Rome

Thank you for considering Marymount International School Rome.

Description

Marymount International School Rome is a private, Catholic, co-educational day school. The oldest international school in Italy, we are located on a 40-acre campus of protected parkland just 20 minutes north of the city center.

An English-language Early Childhood through 12th Grade School, our standards-based international curriculum is inclusive with an academic offering that is bespoke to the individual needs of every student. Enrichment opportunities are offered across all Grade Levels to encourage students to discover what they love doing and who they are as people in order to guide them towards the achievement of their full potential.

A wide range of extracurricular activities include Varsity athletics, S.T.E.A.M. classes, theatre, choir/band, and Model United Nations, in addition to visits to national and international sites of cultural importance. Marymount graduates obtain an accredited American High School Diploma and the majority of our students work towards the full IB Diploma with around 15% opting for individual IB course certificates.

Marymount has been an IB World School for over 35 years. The Diploma Programme (DP) has become an integral component of Marymount’s academic program. School-wide curriculum alignment prepares students with the academic rigor necessary to fully engage with the Diploma. We offer over 30 subjects at this level, including 11 languages. Students also have the opportunity to choose among several Advanced Placement classes.

The School’s IB students go on to study in many of the world’s top universities and colleges; in the UK this includes Cambridge, London School of Economics, Imperial College London, and King’s College London, and Yale, New York University, Boston College, and Johns Hopkins in North America, in addition to Bocconi and more.

Classroom activities focus on conceptual understanding, authentic learning, and skills development. The School also has an ever-growing commitment to technology and Artificial Intelligence learning. All Marymount students work with personal Apple devices and the School is equipped with the latest technology, art and science labs, including a Forest School.

Marymount welcomes students from over 70 different nationalities and of all faiths to participate in its vibrant community life, where each student is valued and nurtured to achieve their full potential and develop a lifelong love of learning.
